Big challenge for ODU this weekend, but if the Monarchs can manage to slip out of Miami with a couple of wins, it will put them solidly into the conference race. It's a 6:00pm start for this evening's game. I am anxious to see how ODU does against that FIU pitching staff.

It was a good win. After taking the lead in the seventh our two relievers, Ali and Overton, proceded to strike out 6 between them in innings 7-9. A great job as well by Andy Roberts our starter.

Doubleheader to be played Saturday due to expected bad weather Sunday, first game of doubleheader to start at 11am

ECU takes game 1 at Rice 3-2. Hoffman with 8 complete only gave up 1 run. ECU scored 2 in the top of the 9th to break a 1-1 tie, Rice could plate only 1 run in the bottom of 9th

Didn't see that coming. Thought we'd struggle against Curtis but MTSU hitters didn't miss many pitches tonight.

Tough loss to ODU in Game 1. FIU's Franco pitched 6.2 strong innings once again striking out 8 while losing shutout in 7th inning. ODU pitching and defense looked very, very good as well. Incredibly, FIU pitching has only allowed 2 earned runs (4 including unearned runs) in their last 4 conference games, only to have a 1-3 record in those games. FIU's pitching ERA, which prior to this game was #1 in the nation at 1.63 per game got even better in the loss. We need to wake up those bats! Go Panthers!

After today's results, UTEP is still undefeated through out the season

Southern Miss bounces back and beats MTSU 7-0 in the first of two today.

UTSA wins their series vs Tulane 2-1 (8-1, 1-4, 5-0) Both Brock Hartson and Justin Anderson pitched CG's in their wins. Justin Anderson, who had the CG shutout, recorded 10 K's. He will be CUSA pitcher of the week. UTSA improves to 8-4 in conference play

Charlotte dropped two to Evansville yesterday 3-2 & 10-2. Bounced back to take game three today 4-1. Hope to earn the series split tomorrow.
