Texas Tickets On Sale Now For Students, Mean Green Club

DENTON, Texas - Tickets for the North Texas football season opener at the University of Texas on Aug. 30 are on sale now for students and Mean Green Club members with season tickets.

The price of the tickets were set by the University of Texas, and are $100 each. They will be exclusively available to Mean Green Club members with season tickets and students through July 1, after which season ticket holders will have an opportunity to purchase through July 15.

Under fourth-year head coach Dan McCarney, North Texas is coming off a Heart of Dallas Bowl win over UNLV on Jan. 1, which capped just the sixth nine-win season in Mean Green history.

Single-game tickets for 2014 home games, with the exception of SMU, will go on sale July 1. Single-game tickets to SMU will go on sale Aug. 1. To lock in your SMU ticket prior to Aug. 1, you may purchase 2014 season tickets through the North Texas Ticket Office.

And I'm serious. Nothing ticks me off like corporations, and in this case athletic organizations ripping off opposing fan bases.

obvious complete and total lack of understanding of what price gouging is or how it works and especially what the laws apply to

One thing is for sure... Any that UNT returns from their allotment will sell for $100 to UT fans. So you might as well get whatever green-clad people you can into the stadium because any gaps will be filled in with burnt-orange.

A&M charged our fans $95 so that's what they will be paying this year at our home

I was only thinking 12-15,000

Well, it's UNT... the birthplace of atomic energy, the alma mater of Beethoven, Chuck Norris, and Ghandi, and home of the world's most advanced spaceport. You can't expect to walk into their football game for $5, even for a homecoming game against an inferior opponent like the Longhorns.

Don't have near as much problem with price as where they probably are. Last time I went to UT, the seats were high in the end zone and so narrow that you almost had to stand, but that was the only way you could see anything anyway.
