Next year03-shhhh

Let's hope everyone makes it to campus and walks the straight and narrow. Could be a very good season if 2 or 3 of the freshmen are ready for D1 ball by conference time.

What were we ranked last year?

We shouldn't count our chickens before they hatch. A lesson we should have learned last year.

So the stadium proved to be a success

It's great to see UTEP ranked in the top 50 especially by ESPN which is not a friend of this conference. But I would rather trade that ranking for conference championships and deep NCAA Tournament runs. Hopefully next season UTEP will be able to deliver that potential.

And LTU comes in at #50. Not bad to have 2 C-USA teams ranked in the top 50.

It has been made clear that the stadium is not an appropriate topic for discussion in this forum.

Heck, with 14 teams, I would hope we would have at least 2 in the top 50. We need 5 or more in the top 100 if possible. Who can that be this season? UTEP & LaTech. What about SoMiss, UAB, WKU or Charlotte? ODU will be better, but I doubt if they are top 100, should be better than 200 though. Maybe top half. Now that I look at it, historically speaking, those 7 schools have had some great teams over the years. If we could all get good again at the same time, but not kill each other in conference we could see a three bid conference again at least.

UAB:
We currently have 5 players that played on the team last year.
2 were our top 2 scorers both Seniors.
3 sophomores that didn't see a lot of minutes but did play their roles very well.

5 freshman coming in that are going to develop into some really good players.

1 Junior transfer from Virginia that was their second leading scorer his 2 Soph year.
