I thought she handled the Bob Huggins thing brutally. But since they she has stepped aside and kept her nose out of the athletic department. As long as she does that I'll live with it.

I agree with that. For the most part the only time we ever hear or see her now is a little video on the scoreboard right before each football game starts.

When she runs the whole University into the ground amid financial ruin he won't say how great a president she was.

I am sorry but Nancy doesn't wear a jersey or coach a team, so I really don't want to read about her on the sports page. Tranghese should call a spade a spade, she screwed up the handling of the sitataution miserably and is singly responsible for a lot of empty seats last year. Let's all move on and Bill Koch should write about players, the team what the other coaches think of Mick, and something more interesting to Bearcat readers than what Tranghese thinks of Nancy.

who has mandated that Huggins be referred to as "the former coach"?

remember all the AD guys who couldn't say anything bad about the department or the admin because they "wanted to keep their jobs"?

if you don't think Nancy Khan is influencing things in the department, you are missing some obvious signs.

I guess she missed one. Mick's in trouble now!

"It's nothing against Coach Huggins; he's a great coach," Cronin said, "but when you get with Rick Pitino, there's something about it that impresses athletic directors. Just look at the numbers. Everybody's going to get at least an opportunity. Most of the time it gets you a good opportunity as a head coach. You can't argue with the success of the guys who have worked for him."

Cronin learned about defense from Huggins, who he said is the best defensive coach in the game. He fortified the offensive side of his r
