Army would be on the list no doubt...FB only and TV revenue generated by Army-Navy among others....plus fits locally within the footprint as well as nationally on TV.

Thoughts on AAC expansion

I know they were not BCS before but, they had BCS clout which by the way, was yesterday. In today's market, the BCS is dead and they'll give little cache to those wins.
Believe what you want but, here are the numbers of TV ratings for the BCS era Bowl Games. You'll see that Boise States ratings are directly correlated with whom they played and when, where they played.
TV Ratings for BCS Era
Potential BCS Buster Then = Contender for g5 spot Access Bowl now
If they keep up the wins it's not any real difference IMO.

And not playing Army-Navy in conference is one reason why Army is likely to decline, no matter where it might stand on an AAC wishlist.

Exactly. The rule is there is only one potential Cinderella, and it wins recognition as the Cinderella at the ball by winning its bowl game.
That's not going to be decided by any conference alignment "moves", that'll be decided by winning enough during the season with a hard enough season schedule to be the Go5 Access Bowl Champion, and then beating the P5 team that is set as the opponent.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I'm not tryig to change your mind. I'm just stating the facts. Boise State got huge coverage because they consistantly dominated their Conferences. Now that they aren't, say good by to those brownie points.
