How do the College Baseball payouts work?
I've been watching the college baseball playoffs and wondered how does the NCAA work when it comes to payouts for the regionals, super regionals and CWS? Anybody knows?

It's too bad the tournament credits aren't anywhere near as valuable as basketball credits. The BW would be pulling in some serious coin this year.

The NCAA only pays for travel to regionals for baseball, or other sports like hockey, lacrosse. But if the team makes the college world series, the Frozen Four, or the lacrosse Final Four, there is a significant one time stipend to the schools above travel costs (six figures, if thats significant to BCS schools).

Regionals most often have to be bid on, so there's little to gain from an NCAA tournament financially short of winning.

In regionals and super-regionals do schools still bid to host, and if they sell tickets over the the amount they keep that surplus, plus whatever they make on concessions?

I wouldn't think there is much to distribute until the CWS.
