Tie-breaker rules
Hey all - I looked around on here briefly to find the answer so sorry if I missed it.

If:

WVU beats RU
RU beats UL
UL beats WVU

What are the series of tiebreaker rules in the Big East conference? I'm there it's a 3-5 step process ending with a coin toss but I was wondering the order leading up to it.

Thanks!

Highest ranked team in the BCS goes to the BCS Bowl in a 3 way tie. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place conference money is combined and divided evenly amongst the three teams.

There are still a lot of possible scenerios to play out but as of right now it looks like the winner of the WVU/RU game will represent the Big East in the BCS. If RU loses to either Cincy or Cuse AND WVU, then Louisville, assuming they win out, will go to the BCS.

Personally I would love to see 2 Big East teams in the BCS. Boise probably has to lose a game to open up that spot but wouldnt it be sweet???

If WVU and UofL win out meaning Rutgers looses the last game to WVU, West Virginia will likely be the highest ranked team. Every week they will rise depending on what the teams ahead of them do. Louisville will likely fall behind them this week so they will rise also but will likely not pass them.

If Rutgers looses to WVU in the last game, they will fall with no time to recover...so in that scenario WVU will likely be at around 5 or 6. UofL will likely be a couple of spots behind, and Rutgers will likely fall back to eleven or so. If Rutgers wins they win the conference but likely will not be in the number two position for the national championship game. In any case, we should start with three teams ranked in the top ten next year and a forth will join the big three by mid season.

So WVU and UofL...life is still good. Rutgers, for now, Life is GREAT!
