UC has 3 games in a row starting tonight with Howard (I don't know his last name ;-) ).

This is the Jim Thorpe Classic at UC.

UC will also play Tennessee-Martin and High Point.

Yes, it's a weak start but this team needs it since just about everyone is new.

Bart Lundy used to coach at my Alma Mater, he now coaches High Point.

Trust me, that wasn't a crack on you guys. I love the the Bearcats as long as they're not playin' The Ville. Just reiterating how the BEast really dropped the ball on that one. Hope you guys undeteated this season, well maybe one game or two, you know.

:

Thanks Bugsy.

UC wins 70-39. It wasn't pretty, but they got the job done.

UCONN alson won 53-46. It was ugly and we got a lot of young players. We are very quick but we will have to do quite a bit to get into BE game shape. Our 7'3" kid is a block machine and is still a work in progress.

It looks like coach Calhoun will have his work cut out for him this year. We have speed & talent, but the youth & inexperience will make for a lot of shaky performances like this one for a while as this team establishes its identity. Each player needs to learn his role and at the same time help the team play as a cohesive unit. It'll take time, but the future is bright.

Plus we need to work on our free throws. ;-)

How'd Hasheem look? We could really use that guy especially now that our two big boys, Hernol Hall and Adam Hyranciuk, are having eligibility issues.
