5. Deion Branch

This one of the few ones where I don't think there'd be much argument against the choice list

Dilard was legit.

DH did so much for ECU that it felt odd for receiver mention..... he did that too, along with RB, FB, punt/kick off returner...he did it all.

Don't forget QB! And I'm not talking about strictly wildcat there either! Dude was a jack of all trades

Oh man, what a waste of talent. I'll never forget him leaving ECU's stadium at half time telling the students to meet him after the game so he could kick our asses because everyone was doing the alligator arms motion after he pulled up on a pass over the middle.

He was going crazy and the coaches literally had to drag him out.

What ever happened to him. I think I remember he didn't finish out his final season due to injury or behavioral issues?

Did he ever make it to any NFL camps?

was behavioral....it's one thing to be young and dumb.....it's another to have a gift that one just tosses to the side.....

I hate what happened to him with the broken leg....but dammit boy, you can't come back and then become a plague in the locker room....I'm not sold Fedhat didn't give too much leniancy due to selfish reasons....just sayin'

Million dollar body, ten cent head. The sports world island of what-ifs is littered with them.

At least DH made the list. I'm not sure if I'd have put him on the list but Justin Hardy should have at least been in the others considered list. In 3 years he's already broken every receiver record that Harris held.

Not much to complain about, but I could make an argument for Dillard and 4 UH receivers:
Patrick Edwards - 4507 career receiving yards
Vincent Marshall - 3770 yards
Tyron Carrier - 3493 yards
Donnie Avery - 3289 yards. 1456 Sr year. 2nd round draft pick

Matt McCants is a great story. Marched with a sousaphone his first 3 years of high school.

Tulsa had 3 guys who don't quite make the top 5, but had great careers:

1. Brennan Marion 82 catches for 2356 yards 28.7 yds. per catch in his 2 year career at Tulsa !
2. Demaris Johnson 188 catches for 2746 yds. Also a great punt returner, including one for a TD that helped us beat Notre Dame in 2010. Too bad he forfeited his senior season by stealing from a store, or he would've been a Tulsa career leader in a few categories.
3. Charles Clay 189 catches for 2554 yds. Also played as a RB & was an all around TE/RB/WR weapon for Tulsa.

All 3 have played in the NFL, & Clay is currently one of the "Top 100" players in the NFL, in the current NFL Network rankings.

3,508 passing yards, 67.2 completion percentage, 38 TDs to 6 INTs
641 rushing yards and 11 TDs.

I never saw his final list, but he really excluded King? good lord.
