The event will be held at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium from 7-8:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

I'll probably be drunk and wired from the festival at Town Point Park earlier in the day, but I'm definitely going to try and make it.

FWIW, it seems the University has done a really poor job marketing this event and the open scrimmage tonight. Check the website. Check the Twitter and Facebook feeds. Tell me how easy it is to know these things are taking place.

Is anybody going tonight? I wish there was more buzz, almost feels like this open scrimmage is out of obligation.

I agree, one of my neighbors mentioned it to me. That was the first I heard about the scrimmage. Later that same day I saw it when Doug Ripley tweeted about it. If the weather is good we hope to be there.

Should we expect concessions to be closed tonight?

It would have been great if they could group tonight and tomorrow in to one a event.

Took some pics of the uniforms at the event. It looks like we got new white pants to match the new white jersey. Really small detail but I thought it was kinda cool. Looks like we'll wear the 3 tone helmet with the blues as well.

I like the new helmets a lot. In fact they will be great branding for the University and appear to be very visible with the ODU crown logo. I liked all the combos. Maybe I'm just looking at them with Monarch blue shades.......... AIM HIGH

Yeah I left before they showed the video, how was it? I liked all the new uni combos as well

I got to talking with Wilder halfway through, but I wasn't a big fan of the music. It seems less electric than it should be. The visuals were good though and so that's a big upgrade.

Last year's fan appreciation day was so much better than this year's. It was like a carnival last year. Must be on a very strict budget to save money for the new stadium.

The marching band sounded much better than ever and so much louder. Definitely more people in the marching band.

Same with the Big Blue BBQ. As a man with young kids, it's disappointing to see these events move away from what was so effective just last year.

What color is the white pant stripe? Is it the same random tan color from the blue pants?

The stripes in the blue and white pants are silver.

During fan appreciation day, I was shocked to see the amount of players we had on our team that were well above 6 feet in height. A lot of them seemed to be more fit and not as "flabby" as before. I knew it from reading profiles of players being recruited, but seeing it in person is a different story. We should see a different team tomorrow.
