This will be the first opportunity to see Shuler Bentley in a Monarch uniform, and hopefully the last........this season.

Check out Harry Minium tweeter for highlights. Looks like TH is the best punter

It traveled 20 yards in the air and then bounced 12 more to the 10. Pulisic was bombing them to open practice. King (I think) shanked one like 8 yards.

The offense is going to have to crank it up before next Saturday.

RE: Don't forget ODU has an Open Scrimmage FRIDAY 6p
We got a good looking kicker in Segers, hit a couple over 50. Washington at QB is going to be tough to watch, he looked better last year. Maybe not taking reps has hurt his timing. We don't seem to have that #1 or #2 receiver, keep waiting for someone to make a money play. After the first completion, there were quite a few missed routes and drop passes. They need to get sharper. We have a solid QB with Bentley. The running backs have some speed. The defense looked pretty solid, except for a couple plays were the coach yelled, "do you guys know what your doing out there". Lot of different formations and a few trick plays.

just to repeat Dabig, Segers can really boom it. Our field goal situation is solid. Lot more speed at RB.

Let's not read too much into the receiver situation. Remember our defenders know the offenses routes really we'll. kinda easy to defend a route you have been seeing for three weeks. I think once we start play for real it will be all good.

Despite playing with the 2s I thought that Ray Lawry looked really good yesterday. Definitely an upgrade in speed and agility than what we have seen from other 1st year backs. He broke a couple for 20+ and made some pretty impressive cuts.
Also Bentley definitely looks the part. It looked like he held on to the ball a bit too long in some situations but I am sure that will fix itself as he adjusts to tighter coverages at the college level.

Bentley is different than TH as well. Bentley's favorite QB is Peyton Manning and you can tell his first instinct is to push the ball down the sidelines THEN check back down whereas TH looks for the underneath stuff first, then deeper then he runs.

speaking of underneath, did we see something new last night or has that little dump off to the tailback been around? either way it was pretty effective against the rush. I liked it.

The outlet to the running back has always been there. You just don't have to go to it if your first or second read is open. Coverage yesterday was pretty good.

Is that a sign of TH getting even better at going thru his progression?

RE: Don't forget ODU has an Open Scrimmage FRIDAY 6p
Just a question: I was told by two different sources yesterday after leaving the game (no one official), other ODU fans I know. Well, they mentioned that at yesterday’s scrimmage there were several “spies", for lack of a better way of putting it. I would not know any of the players or coaches from HU. So I was just wondering if anyone else may have info or any insight.
If so, would that have any impact of what we saw yesterday?
