The only thing I noticed generally was that we have two solid kickers/punters, and the coaches really have the team moving uptempo. We are going to cause some teams problems simply by our speed in getting plays in. This has been Fuente's goal from his first year.

The only serious negative was the fact that between the heat (tough on wussies and those in poor health) and the anemic promotion of the event, turnout was lighter than usual. There was no mention of the event in the Commercial Appeal until Friday, and even then, no times were were stated.

On a much less important note, whoever was in charge of the blaring music might want to consider playing something other than rap once in a while. I freely admit that I hate it.

The music is for the players.. rap is what they want to hear..

The players weren't anywhere around the rap which was played on Tiger Lane. It was so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. I can handle rap, but the diversity of ages on Tiger Lane at least demanded equal time for other music, too. How about a little Walking in Memphis, Eye of the Tiger music?

And yes, there was some rap played inside the LB, and I am sure that was for the players. Okay by me.

And yes, one again, anemic promoting of the event. It seems the Admin doesn't really like it and just does it because it has to.

Well...I'm not sorry I missed all of that...but I will be there next Saturday when they drop the puck....and I will stay until the last pitch.
