Cuse Post Season Thoughts
Kinda depressing...our 4-8 record is an improvement but I doubt it would be 4-8 with last year's killer of a schedule. Next year the heat gets turned up on Robinson but in reality he has two more years to get to a bowl game.

What I liked about this season compared to last was that the effort was much better and Syracuse lost games on the merit of differing talent levels. In other words, they lost fewer games from their own incompetence, moreso because the other teams were simply better. At the least, it's cleaer that Robinson and the players are now on the same page. Whether or not that page yields a championship team I couldn't say.
I do think the next wave of players will be more able. There are a number of seniors departing but, to be honest, it's not as if those seniors were the best of the best. There should be more enthusiasm and promise next year. 4-1 is very possible for next season's out of conference schedule.
Defensively I'm pleased with the system. Rutgers wore the team down but there were a number of other close losses where the defense more than did it's job. Now they need to find more players for the "skill" positions on offense, and properly nurture the QB with the right offensive system.
