IDK what this UNC/NC state vs Clemson talk is about, but Clemson wins every time, no matter what you're talking about.

Lots of time left, can't let up now.

We never even trailed during the game. And it was never tied after 0-0. But all was lost at some point? 03-zzz

Jameis needs to learn to trust his WR's not named Rashad Greene.

Precisely. The only thing negative from an FSU point of view is the Noles weren't able to put Oklahoma State away. It's happened before, but FSU still won anyway. It may be a sign of weakness, or it may be nothing at all.

RE: Open Thread - Week 1
It's weird to say with Winston having 370 passing yards and Greene having over 200 yards receiving, but last night was a very shaky game.

Part of it is giving Oklahoma State credit. Their Oline was very good at protecting and their Dline put pressure on Winston. May not see lineplay as good as that the rest of the regular season. They had all offseason to prepare and almost won.

And who knows how good they are? If they were SEC, they are ranked going into that game.....

FSU did some nice things but they need to find a running game and a 3rd/4th WR. The pass rush has to improve and there were some very bad missed assignments in the secondary.

Anything can happen in college football but that was a relief to even win. That said, all you need is a 1 point victory in every game and you will be in the playoff as an undefeated team. That's in the end all that matters.

It's game 1 after losing a bunch of guys to the NFL, against a quality opponent that we didn't face but 2-3 times last year. We didn't execute well at all after the 1st quarter but still won. I'll take it. We have 3 weeks to make corrections before Clemson (Citadel and a bye). After the Pitt game last year we didn't look all that great at times through the BC game. And OK State is way better than BC.

Don't think you have much to worry about. Kinda hoping for a QB change after FSU game.

I didn't mean to imply I was "worried" about Clemson. Just that we don't face another real opponent for awhile. And Clemson is a talented team. Better than at least 5/8 of our ACC schedule, and at least 50% of our overall schedule.

Meant it more as, we have time to get some of our younger role guys/backups some additional experience/practice time to help shore up some areas. And maybe a couple guys will be back by then that missed the opener.

Seeing that full stadium in Louisville is reminding me that maybe, just maybe, losing Maryland was really addition by subtraction.

Welcome Cardinals!!

Yeh, the fanbase seems to be really into it. Good showing for UL so far.

Like Miami's helmets. Louisville, OTOH, needs to never wear those lids again. They look like bowling balls with that sparkle candy coat.

That's weird. I don't like Miami's green. Just looks odd to me. Louisville doesn't look much different than they typically do.

They look better close up. From far away you don't see the "u" and that's what looks odd.

Both of the team's uniforms look great. I prefer the white helmets for both of them, but these are a nice change of pace. I think the UofL uni's are sharp. I hope they only wear them on special occasions.

RE: Open Thread - Week 1
ACC refs have been very incompetent towards Louisville with 2 plays in a row -- costing Louisville a TD and then missing a blatant pass interference call.

No doubt... Just horrid officiating... On plays like that backwards pass or a fumble, the refs need to let it play out and then review it.

Dude what are you talking about? Up until last year his school would have been on the outside looking in like Cincy and UCONN. Now they get to sit at the big boy table. Why shouldn't he be happy/excited about it?
