I'm doing this to allow people to know where the teams you're facing lay in terms of FCS rankings.
Week One:
Minnesota beat #11 Eastern Illinois 42-20
Michigan State beat #8 Jacksonville State 45-7
Illinois beat #21 Youngstown State 28-17
Indiana beat unranked Indiana State 28-10
Iowa beat #15 Northern Iowa 31-23
Maryland beat James Madison (30 votes) 52-7
Week Two:
Nebraska faces #9 McNesse State
Rutgers faces Unranked Howard
Wisconsin faces Unranked Western Illinois
Week Four:
Northwestern faces Unranked Western Illinois
Purdue faces Southern Illinois (59 votes).
2013: These FCS teams with wins over FBS and the team they beat.
Eastern Illinois beat San Diego State 40-19
Jacksonville State beat Georgia State 32-26
Northern Iowa beat Iowa State 28-20
McNesse State beat USF 53-21.

I absolutely hate these games. These are usually nothing more than exhibition games. There is no up side to playing one. Regardless of division rank; you beat one and nobody cares, you loose to one and you are a laughing stock. As a ticket paying fan, I'd rather see us play a half decent, local FBS school.

If a school is in a power conference, it shouldn't be playing down two steps.
I can hold my nose and take a one or two a season as an in-state political favor, it that is what is needed to log-roll more resources for a Big Ten school ... say, Iowa playing Northern Iowa every fourth year ... but I very much like the Big Ten move to strongly discouraging signing any more of these FBS games.
Ideally, every school will have a P5 OOC opponent and all OOC games against FBS opposition, and even if that is not made a hard and fast rule, the borderline should not be placed too far away from there ... say, a maximum quota per school of no more than one every four years, and no more than one per division per year.
I also don't think that an FBS school should get to go bowling if they had a losing record against FBS opposition, so winning an FCS buy game shouldn't allow a school that is 5-6 against FBS schools to go to a bowl.

To me playing an FCS school should only happen if you have a last minute schedule hole and you've exhausted the FBS possibilities to fill it.
