2006 Big East attendance
1. West Virginia 58,773
2. Pittsburgh 43,305
3. Louisville 41,484
4. Rutgers 41,113
5. Connecticut 38,939
6. Syracuse 37,262
7. USF 30,222
8. Cincinnati 20,373
WVU has a ~500 seat expansion in store for next year. Louisville will be expanded to 63.6k for the 2008 season. Rutgers has a stadium expansion coming within a decade according to the new Schiano contract offer. The league is growing nicely. UConn has a solid base, but will have to produce a winner on the field before expansion gets serious. I expect USF to average over 40k next year with their home slate and quality team. Future is bright.

UC's coaching hire is going to be crucial in selling to the fan base. We drew 27,000 for the Rutgers game. There is no reason why UC can't average 25,000 to 30,000 per game, at least 25,000. Winning helps, but locking in a solid coach is going to help a ton as well. A coach with charisma.

Expansion for Cuse is problematic--but a winning team will get the avg attendance back up to 45k+
We have lost 10k fans since McNabb and in reality probably 15k since we have many no shows.

Come on Cincinnati. Step up. If you can draw just a few more thousand fans per game we can all outdraw Miami next year. Wait a minute, they may not even get 20,000 per next season.
lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao
I hear the weather is great in December in Boise, not that anyone from Miami will be there. Their fan base is six miles wide and two inches deep.
In some ways this year has been a slight dissappointment, but the fact that some arrogant ACC folks were put in their place makes up for it somewhat.
