No One Got Screwed Over This Time Around
The BCS had no choice but to let Notre Dame in this year. Normally they are overrated but you can't make a major argument that anyone got screwed over in favor of the Fighting Irish this time around. Just let the hatred of Notre Dame go until next season.

If ND actually played football in the BE conference, would we all be pulling for them?

Sugar Bowl History Note:

Believe the last time Notre Dame played in the Sugar Bowl...the opponent Coach was busy that week telling the media a joke: "What's the difference between Notre Dame and Cheerios? Only ONE of the belongs in a BOWL!"

1992 Sugar Bowl was between a 9-3 Notre Dame Team (lost 2 out of their last 3 regular season games to Tennessee and Penn St...and earned a 12th game 6 pt win at Hawaii) vs a 10-1 SEC Champ Florida Gators.

Final Score of the game:
Notre Dame 39
Florida 28

Joke was told by Steve Spurrier to media members in New Orleans that week of the game.

Well 'ole Fatty in South Bend will probably luck out and beat a top team at some point. I guess the Sugar Bowl is as good as anywhere else for an upset to happen.

That is a funny joke. Of course how can you not have just a little sense of satisfaction that 1) people were making fun of Notre Shame and 2) the SEC lost.

Have you all seen some of the things that Notre Dame is saying about the BEast on their blogs and message boards? They belittle the BEast. It is absolutely embarrassing to cater to an institution like that.

If Notre Shame were to join the BEast for all sports I would like it. It would be a good thing. However, as long as they hold us hostage... Let me rephrase that... as long as we continue to be their cheap prostitute I will despise them.

The BCS number say no but they are overrated in the "Clone Polls" - Rutgers or WVU would match-up better with LSU than ND.

WVU is the only BCS bowl eligible team other then Notre Dame after Michigan and LSU were chosen. I imagine Notre Dame was always a lock.
