Healthy Big East?
What's the health report on the teams involved in bowl games...especially Pat White?

UC is completely healthy, except for DL Carvitti, who's been out a while with an ACL. He might even be ready for UC's bowl.

Of course, health is not UC's issue. I'm glad UC plays a week late. They'll need every available day to get organized.

Pat White should be ready near 100% by the bowl game. He could have played against Rutgers if needed but felt he wouldn't be effective as normal.

Unfortunately we lost one of our few wide receivers with experience, Tiquan Underwood, who left the WVU game with a broken leg. Hoping our senior wide receiver Shawn Tucker will be back in time for the Texas Bowl. He has been out most of the season recovering from a broken ankle. Thankfully we have some emerging freshmen who have been filling in nicely, Kenny Britt & Tim Brown, as well as James Townsend a transfer from Iowa. But it would be nice to get Tucker back for his senior leadership.

Do you think he would have played if UofL had lost earlier in the day, putting the BCS bid up for grabs? I'm not waiting to come back and slam him at all, just curious.

interesting question and something that WVU fans have speculated about, but I honestly don't think it would have mattered had UCONN upset the Cards.

Rich has said all along that he felt the offense could be successful with Jarrett Brown at QB and that he was a talented athlete. Even though the BCS bid wasn't on the line, there was still plenty to play for... a trip to the Gator Bowl vs. the Texas Bowl, a win in the finale on Senior Night, avoiding a late-season collapse, etc. I think Rich put the guy in who he felt gave him the best chance to beat Rutgers.

Turns out he was right - Jarrett Brown certainly performed well for his first real meaningful action, in a high-pressure atmosphere. It's nice to have another QB who can come in and win a game - that's a huge advantage. And of course UL fans can relate to that, you guys have a great backup QB in Cantwell.

Is Brown a freshman or Sophomore? Either way, he is a magnificant alternative to have in the bag.

-- Probably not.....White really has two injuries. He has a case of turf toe and an ankle problem. Those injuries have really limited his mobility, which is a major reason why the WVU offense wasn't as effective against USF....and as everyone who has seen WVU play knows the system needs a mobile QB to be really successful.. Jarret Brown is a player. I know he really impressed me during the spring game etc
