Question 2014 FInal Record?
I was thinking 4-8 with no bowl going into yesterdays game, but now I am thinking 5-7 with wins over Tulane and either Indiana or Michigan. Win all 3 and RU goes bowling!

What do you think?

I'm with you Chris. I was at 3-9 before the season started with hopes for 4-8. So far things are going better than I expected. I think RU will beat Tulane and one of Michigan or Indiana. I think all 3 are winnable but expect to drop one.

There is no bigger Rutgers hater than a Rutgers fan I guess. I am going to say 7-5 with wins against Tulane, Michigan, Indiana and either Wisconsin or Maryland.

I had RU as high as 9-3 last year and, well, you saw how that turned out.

Nah it's just a case of "expect the worst, hope for the best."

I've drunk so much scarlet kool-aid I know it can make you sick sometimes. And that affects where I set my expectations going into each season. Kinda like when you reach age 30 and you start remembering that your hangovers aren't as bad if you down a glass of water after each drink. This season is tough, and gotta say at this point I'm feeling pretty great about how they've done. Each win here on out (May there be many) will feel like a bonus. And I think it's better (for me) to be happy and proud of our guys than kvetching on Rivals about how we shoulda beat the pants off TTFP and scored 70 on Howard, and hopes for a 10-2 season are in jeopardy.

If we win the next 2 I'll start getting hungry for a bowl for sure!

Glad to see some RU fans here on CSN. Hope to see you guys in Piscataway this weekend!

I think 7 is a good possibility.

RE: 2014 FInal Record?
Here is the remaining schedule:

Michigan
@#20 OSU
@#19 Nebraska
#17 Wisconsin
Indiana
@#10 MSU
@#34 Maryland

7 wins will be a fantastic season for RU. It's going to require at least one upset to get there though, in addition to 2-0 vs. Michigan and Indiana. Will probable also require Gary Nova's 2nd half of his senior season matching up with Mike Teel's in 2008.

I was thinking 4-8 before the season now I'm thinking 6-6 or 7-5. Maybe just maybe 8-4, but definitely no higher than that.

Right now I'd be a little disappointed by 6 wins, expect 7 and would be very happy with 8.

Well we won both! I've got my spoon and I'm hungry for a bowl! 02-13-banana03-cloud9COGS

The back half of the schedule is going to be much tougher than the front half, though! There are no Tulanes or Howards, we have to face the top three teams in the conference, and the other teams on the list have played some inspired ball at times this year too.

tOSU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Indiana
Michigan State
Maryland

I still like our chances with Indiana, I think if things go our way we can beat Wisconsin and Maryland though we'll be underdogs in both (unless we manage to upset OSU and/or Nebraska). I think we are going to have some big losses in the coming weeks, but bring it on! 05-mafia04-rock

Let's get to 7-5!

I'm now at 6-6. One more win vs. Indiana. I think RU is in for some pain until Indiana comes into town. I hope I am wrong.

I'm not sure who we'll beat out of those last 6 but I know that we will steal 2 more wins with a very outside shot at 3. I'm certain we won't go any better than 3-3 against that stretch. And to be honest that's not a bad thing, all we had to do this season was come in and be competitive (if we were better, well even better then) and we've done that. If we fell flat on our faces it'd be a problem.

RE: 2014 FInal Record?
Almost everyone would've been happy with .500 in RU's first B1G year. I'm trying my best to temper my expectations with the remaining schedule.

If RU goes 3-3 in the remaining 6 games, they'll finish 8-4. And you and me will need to take back just about everything we've said about Flood up to this point. 04-cheers
