You still have to go to Morgantown. I'm actually pleased about their possible return. Revenge will be all the sweeter with the Cardinal team intact. A win over Louisville with Bush and Brohm will make a possible run at the national championship a reality for West Virginia.

I was talking about IF he was healthy this year. IF he and Urrutia come back I still like or chances in Morgantown but it will be a shootout once again.

It should be one hell of a game, and may end up being the best game of the entire college football season. It's a pity that this game won't be at the end the season.

Wilkie you are inviting me to your tailgate next Oct/Nov? I'll be making one away road trip and Louisville most likely will be it.

You are officially invited.

Ok thanks

BTW, you might have a Marine Master Sgt and an Army 2Lt along with this retired washed up Air Force Aviator coming 03-idea

This is wonderful...not Bush and Brohms return...that's wonderful too, but the trash talk about next season before this season is even over....I love it.

That's cool, I am a retired SSG and my son is an Army SGT.

I was SFC until the Vietnam war ended, Wilkie. I reverted to SSG after that - until my discharge in '76. Good to see another Sgt. floating about the board. 04-bow

I was ready for my SFC promotion and would have been filing an E-8 NBC OPs slot. I would only have had to wait a year for my promotion to 8 with a wavier when Clinton disbanded my unit! Heck, I had all my stuff in order. All I need was the Sergeant Major Academy and I would have been in line for the 35th ID NBC Sergeant Major! I wish all this had happen about 5-yrs later. Oh, well sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you.

I read somewhere earlier this season that Bush would not be able to obtain more than one year of injury insurance and that he had used his this season. It would be great for the BE if is came back but is it really in his best interest? Any UL fans know anything about this?

I hope he does return. I mean Brohm/Bush and White/Slaton. The pre-season hype next year could be bigger than this past season. Plus, throw in Ray Rice.

With them returning it won't be fair for the rest of college football when the Heisman is given out next year. Just imagine the outcry when the four finalists are announced as Brohm, Bush, Urrutia and Peanut.

I was thinking Brohm, Bush, White, Statton, and Rice.

I bet you'd have been right at home as Smadge. My promotion to SFC was a field promotion because of a lack of senior NCOs in my unit during the war. That's the reason I reverted to SSG once I rotated out. I really wasn't in long enough to be SSG, but they couldn't reduce me too far after spending so much time in grade. I was the youngest SSG on the base until right before I mustered out.

SSG is a fun rank, you are usually a OPs Sergeant, team leader or even a Platoon Sergeant.

I was technically a platoon sergeant. In reality, I was little more than a squad leader. That happens in parade units.

I miss those days. I wish I was young enough to still do it. Atlas, my son is doing it now.
