He promised to bring trophies back to Cincinnati starting with the International Bowl trophy with a win over WMU. He also promised to win more trophies next year and specifically mentioned the Keg of Nails (trophy to the winner of UCs and U of L). He did not mention specifically the Victory Bell with Miami or River City trouphy with Pitt.

For the Louisville-Cincinnati game, The Keg sits on the sidelines of the team that currently has it.

In Nov. of 2002, when UofL had The Keg for 4 straight years, Cincy won at PJCS, but their was no official "turning over The Keg ceremony". Right after the game ended, the Cincy players ran to the UofL sidelines, took The Keg, and hoisted it lmfao (of course the UofL players didn

I love it. Mark Dantonio also circled Miami and Louisville though he backed down from Ohio State. Kelly made it clear that he would recruit against Ohio State and why not? We're in a BCS conference with elite facilities, we can take a recruit or two from Ohio State. It's about time we a coach who has the balls to stand up to teams and not back down or "hope" for a win.

With our team returning basically in tact and adding Bush to the package Kelly is certainly setting lofty goals. Might as well put the BCS on next years agenda to go along with a Big East title.

After the way South Florida pounded you 2 years ago, with a loaded team, you would think you would be a little more humble.

I hope so and I hope for the sake of the UC program that well over half the fans are fans of your team. I really do.

L, you know good and well the Cincy game is a home game for UofL. Every non-season ticket holding true fan of the Cards go as well as a ton of season ticket holders. I even attend cause you can get in for much less than you can attend a game in Louisville....plus I love the city. It's a nice trip.

But if this guy has any success we better take advantage of it next year cause in a couple more years they may be putting their own fans in our seats....Damn.

Gee, I wonder why people think Louisville fans are overbearing and arrogant. But I guess you don't bother to look at television, because if you did, you would see that UC's attendance actually went up as the program got on more solid footing. We'll see you at Nippert next year. And you won't have to worry about putting fans in "your" seats since UC fans will probably be kicking you the hell out of them.

You UL guys kill me... making bulletin board material out of everything. Why don't you bring the bird logo up to Nippert while you're at it lmfao

I heard Kelly was spotted in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium yesterday stomping on the Cardinal mascot at midfield. 05-stirthepot

Actually, we're just fans. I don't have the priviledge of putting anything on the cards bullitin board but you, I and everyone else knows every team does it. That's why coaches try to put a muzzle on their players. In this case I think the coach may need to muzzle himself. He's in the big times now...not the MAC. Don't sling it...bring it.

You act like we're making this sh!t up. I'm just going on history not fantasy. Fill your seats and then we'll just get our alloted amount of tickets...til then, it's a home game for us.

You are making it up.

It is not a home game for Louisville. Did you come to the last game at Nippert?

The attendance was 21086. Of that - I estimate that no more than 5000 were from Louisville, maybe at most 6000-6500. I know you will argue that but I was at the game and sat just below where the majority of Louisville fans were. They were seated in the visitor section from the goal line to about the 20 yard line, in the lower and upper decks, with some more UofL fans in the upper deck at the opposite end of the field.

In 2003, the attendance was 11,993 - nobody from either side showed up due to the weather as it was miserably cold and snowy.

In 2001, the attendance was 31004 - I was at this game also and I will admit that this one had a very large contingent of UofL fans, but UC still had more. I'd say 20000 UC, 10000 UofL.

One thing I will give credit to Louisville fans for though - they cheer loudly and often. (90% of the time it's just spelling out C-A-R-D-S, but it is loud.)

Every dog has their day. We beat them in every stat except the final score that day. Its just the way the ball bounces.

Come on though CC, we've just completed our second top 10 season in 3 years and the future looks extremely bright. You have to expect a little bit of a gasp when your new coach comes out and says he'll beat us next season in public. If he really only said that he'd 'like to bring the Keg back to UC' I'll give him a pass. Of course he'd like to.
