Why are more ACC schools not ranked. Lots of poll ignorance.

Because when they do get ranked, they do **** like lose to Duke at home despite only having to punt once, having more rushing yardage, having more passing yardage, and being able to consistently get stops on defense.

because its the SEC top 25

Because BC lost to Colorado St after they beat USC.
Va Tech lost to ECU after they beat Ohio State.
Duke didn't beat anyone out of conference so they're playing catchup.
GT couldn't deal with a week of success.

Ga Tech was able to consistently get stops on defense against Duke? Duke only punted three times. Tech lost because it turned the ball over three times and Duke didn't turn the ball over at all. Forcing your opponent to turn the ball over while avoiding turning over the ball yourself is the goal of every team. Duke has been doing a good job of that this season.

Unfortunately, the parity is real this year. Miami beat Duke pretty good and then goes and loses to GT. Then GT loses to Duke.

Sigh.

Yes. The trouble was Duke kept getting mulligans to get the ball back. Get a stop ... offsides the punt here's the ball back. Get a stop ... brain dead pass interference here's the ball back.

On mother I know told her son "you never should've gotten that 'A', because now I know you CAN do it...". It's all about focus and [good] consistency.

I'd add that UVA coulda/shoulda beat UCLA, and Pitt coulda/shoulda beat Iowa (and Akron). If they had, both would be ranked now.

Louisville made some costly errors at the worst possible times in both of the loses. Snatching Defeat from potential victory.

Who should bee ranked that isn't? Maybe gr/duke in that 23-25 range? Maybe.

Maybe the acc just isn't good.

VT should've won the 2 games they lost. No reason the Hokies not being undefeated right now. They simply didn't handle success.

Sagarin has two ACC teams ranked between 26-35 (Louisville and VT) and one more between 35-45 (Duke). That doesn't give the poll voters much to work with.

In the ACC one game makes a difference. If Louisville hadn't lost to UVA, they'd be ranked. If VT hasn't lost to either ECU or GT, they'd be ranked. If BC hadn't lost to Colorado St, they might be ranked right now. It's that close.

That's the point. Vt shouldn't be ranked.

I do believe, however, you might see as many as 5 ACC teams ranked at the end of the year.
