Todays Football
Interested in what the members think about this:

1. Do you like todays game with the fast paced offense, sure isn't old style and puts the D at a huge disadvantage.

2. Do you think they can or should institute new rules to slow the game down.

3. Should they allow more physical play by the DB's to offset speed of play, maybe chuck ten yards downfield instead of five, hand fighting allowed.

4. Any other suggestions.

First of all, this has nothing to do with Bearcats. Scores are more like basketball scores than football scores across the board. I was thinking Baylor vs. TCU and other games. Bearcats also run a hurry up offense, has nothing to do with UC's defense or anything else, you always an A HOLE.

You'll have to forgive me for assuming this had some relation to the Bearcats because this wasn't posted to off topic, is on a Bearcat discussion board, and has been an excuse used by the head coach running the show.

I don't see it as a problem, because any good defense that's conditioned and/or deep enough will have no trouble grinding these high scoring offenses to a halt. There have been many examples of this over the years.

I see this as a thread to give merit to a bull**** excuse.

Where's the problem that needs fixing in college football? A good defense will shut down any of these offenses down. Some defenses will slow them down and if not well conditioned/deep they might eventually falter - so what, that's part of the game. Beyond that it's just a bull**** excuse for getting beat.

Fair enough, but almost all the changes penalty wise in the last ten years or so have gone against the D, to the point where you can't sneeze near a wideout, you certainly can't tackle anybody hard, and lord don't ever touch the QB above the waist, just seems to me it's time to equal it out and was wondering what other people thought.

I agree Cincy Bro. The game is becoming too weighted to advantage the offense.
