Oct. 14, 2014

Celebrate one of Cincinnati’s oldest traditions- Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati, at Gettler Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bearcats men’s and women’s soccer teams, during the Cats-toberfest promotion this Thursday and Saturday evenings. Both teams will be playing in AAC matches this week, with women’s soccer facing SMU on Thursday at 7:00pm and men’s soccer taking on Temple this Saturday at 7:00pm.

Bearcats fans who are 21 years of age or older (must show ID) can purchase a $10 drink ticket at the Gettler Stadium concession stand for five (5) samples of local craft beers. Enjoy several options from the Rivertown and Triple Digits breweries, with the opportunity to purchase full bottles for $8 each.

04-cheers

Great idea - get the fans drunk just like in the World Cup! If I was in the area, I'd be there! UC should do this for every home game in every sport. It would reinforce Cincinnati's German heritage! 04-cheers

In fact, why doesn't UC have their own micro-brewery?

Best. Idea. Ever.

And I thought Sex-Ed was popular! This could be run through the college of Business - students can learn the micro-brewery process, government licensing, marketing, business management, etc.

And you could produce brews named after famous UC people -
The Big O lager,
Huggins IPA,
Zimpher Bitter Ale,
etc.

"Available at all Kroger stores"...

Let's get this to Ono...

I am thinking Huggins would be a triple stout or maybe a smoked porter.

Thanks to anyone who came out. I was not there but I heard we had a solid turnout. I will probably be going to the volleyball game tonight if anyone wants to say hello.
