I think that I can speak semi-intelligently about the first part of your post. I don't think that there was UConn hatred, but I do think that there was a lot of ignorance regarding UConn's program outside of men's and women's basketball. I don't think that I'm much different than other southern fans and I knew next to nothing about UConn's other 2 major sports, football and baseball. Perhaps some questions or comments were voiced out of a lack of knowledge rather than hate...and fans on sports message boards aren't experts at being delicate.
The second part of your post merely displays a huge chip on your shoulder that I don't understand. If you've got a problem with individual posters, call them out instead of broad brushing any possible posters that are fans of those universities.
Finally, if DefCONNOne isn't drunk now, he should get that way pretty quick.

Well this is an internet BB. Life is really too short to get this stressed out.
Your team just won, and at one time I saw other ECU fans "stressing out" when it looked like they might lose. I didn't see you tell them, what you're telling me.
I probably would if they were still stressing out and hour and a half after the game was over.
Well, UCONN is 1 and 6 now. They were never really in contention for a bowl game, but thanks to ECU, have now been officially eliminated from bowl consideration. But in dawgitall-land, I should be applauding about UCONN's near win. Or something.
Naw, but you you aren't on the bottom of a heart transplant waiting list, just got the news that you have terminal bone cancer or having to juggle the need to maintain a job with the need to care for a chronically ill parent or spouse are you?
Football is meant to be a fun little something to relieve us from the serious stuff. It ain't the serious stuff. It is the small stuff and you shouldn't sweat the small stuff. If you are going to get this upset it isn't healthy.

99% of the hatred came from ECU and Memphis fans, but only a small percentage of the fans from those schools were responsible. I said it was just "some" fans.
Most of the negative comments were jealousy over UConn's BCS status in the Big East.

What are UConn fans whining about? I am confused on why it was bad for ECU? I wanted ECU to win by 20+ for playoff reason. You guys are 1-6 and does little for ECU to take a hit from you. Chill out and get ready for next season. You should be bowling around this time around next year.

One of the points the announcers kept suggesting was that Marshall's schedule wasn't worthy of consideration of an access bowl. Aren't schedules made in advance? Can't P5 school freeze you out by not scheduling you?
C-USA has some really bad teams. The American has teams that are not that strong, too.

The point that I was making is the Hartman was way better than Harvey. To be fair though Hartman had a lot more than just one bad game..
