If you get a moment, watch the Appalachian State - Georgia State game on ESPN3. Playing in the middle of a huge avalanche of global warming. Big fat wet snow ... falling in heavy drifts.

80000 seat stadium, probably around 40000 actually in the stands.

I'd go 30K. Duke's stadium holds just over 30K. If you take everybody there it'd probably fill up Duke's stadium.

Engineering students should know that if global warming is true there would be an increase in precipitation - including snow - during the cold weather months. Higher temps = more evaporation. Expect less precip. during the Summers but more total precip., most of which would fall in Winter. Another misconception: global warming means higher average temp, but not necessarily every day of the year.

Based on the latest "script" run from Maestro's "crack staff" of digit heads, Virginia Tech is mathematically eliminated.

Later on, I will have the 'staff' do some runs that conform to Swagger's intricate set of biases:
- FSU wins its upcoming games vs. the Coastal Division (UVA and Miami)
- Georgia Tech beats Clemson
- North Carolina beats Duke

About right, 30K but I don't know when this picture was taken. Was it at kickoff of either half, late in the game???? Also the picture from what I can tell isn't showing the home side.

Right. That's the away side, which is always less full than the home. The home side was full in the lower bowl and the upper side was around half full. I think this picture was taken right around kickoff, judging by people in the aisles and the band still going up the staircase. Miami fans are always late arriving as it is. I'd say 40k at peak. 30-35k at this picture isn't unreasonable.

Funny quote from the UNC forum implosion yesterday:

Quote:Which will end up being higher - Miami's point total or UNC's total yardage?

UNC ended up with 6 rushing yards. Six.

Did you play the game in Chapel Hill - that's the only way to get so much aluminum to look like people

Sun-Life.

I was making a joke about UNC's practice of crowd estimation instead of counting tickets taken at the entrances.

Have there ever been that many teeth at one time at a WVU game?

Only if they played in a 100,000-seat stadium. Even then, we need some visiting fans, I think...

It's not an 80k stadium. Even if it was, that's not half full.
