RE: BigTen Bowl Projections
Unless there is something preventing a 6 win team jumping a seven win team, I think Penn State is going to the Pinstripe Bowl. I am sure they would be the bowl committees first choice for whatever that's worth. The local NJ newspaper's website (nj.com) has Rutgers going to the Music City Bowl which means that an ACC team would get the Gator Bowl. Personally I hope Rutgers gets the SF Bowl, but aftet being down 25 with 2 minutes before halftime, any of the Tier 3 bowls would be awesome.

IF Rutgers prefers the San Fran Bowl, I am sure many Iowa fans would be interested in the Music City Bowl, since Iowa has never played in the Music City Bowl. So lets trade.

The article on NJ.com (http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index....hoice.html) says the Athletic Department is pushing for Nashville.

I would be fine with any of San Francisco, Nashville or Jacksonville. All are in NFL stadiums and should be against high quality teams.

Its the committee's choice, but they are assured of an Access Bowl spot. The Orange would have first dibs given the ACC vs. SEC/Big Ten/ND deal.

RE: BigTen Bowl Projections
thought I read big 10 champ cant go to orange but other 3 are in play. Was wondering if they try to keep the usual big10-pac 12 matchup in say the fiesta or say cotton vs big 12 or in peach vs sec?

RE: BigTen Bowl Projections
Its true that the committee ranking Mich State higher than Miss St could change things. If Mich St ends up in the Orange Bowl, there is a rule the BigTen loses its spot in the Citrus Bowl.

So the rankings are

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. FSU
5. Ohio St
6. BAYLOR
7. Arizona
8. Mich St
9. Kansas St
10. Miss St
11. GA Tech
12. OLE MISS
13. Wisc
22. Boise St.

So the committe bowls may be

Sugar: Bama vs. FSU
Rose: Oregon vs. TCU
Orange: Mich St vs. GA Tech
Cotton: Ohio St vs. Baylor
Fiesta: Arizona vs. Boise St
Peach: Kansas St vs. Miss St.

In which case, the big ten loses its spot in the Citrus

Upper tier bowls
Holiday: Wisconsin
Outback: Minnesota

Mid Tier bowls
Gator: Iowa
San fran: Rutgers
Pinstripe: PSU (I am hearing they are a lock for the Pinstripe)

Bottom tier
DETROIT: MD
Heart of Dallas: Nebraska (only because they fired their coach but I am not sure this is allowed to bump them down since they are 9-3)
Cactus or some other at-large: ILL

RE: BigTen Bowl Projections
Very much hope Ohio State wins this week. If not and it's close, it's actually possible the conference gets 3 teams the 6 CFP bowls. Wisconsin would be locked in, Michigan State isn't leaving the top 10, and a close Ohio State loss would probably keep them there too (maybe).

Going to be very weird this year if there is no Big Ten team in the Citrus on New Years Day. I don't watching college football before that was a stable.

Hoping for any game but the Pinstripe Bowl for Rutgers. Twice in three years is enough to have to deal with those awful sightlines. There are very good reasons why MLB and NFL teams no longer share stadiums. Also f''k the Yankees.

I agree with everything in this post, especially the bold.

I would rather go back to the Pinstripe Bowl, then Dallas or Detroit.

I'm actually a Yankee fan. Columbus Clippers were the farm team of the Yankees when I was growing up and that got me into them early. That said, I'm just as much a Cincinnati Reds fan anymore at this point. Yankees will always be my American League team though.

I'm a Mets fan and rather ambivalent about the Yankees when we're not playing them. Its the Philthies and the Braves I really can't stand.
