Juding the support that had even the past 5 years probably made the decision long ago. When only a few thousand show up to the games, it gets pretty hard to justify keeping a FBS program. Its gets even harder to see what the P5 automony benefits are going to be implemented. It was great they had a decent year and more support than previous years but if the decision was made prior to the beginning of the season, it was on an accumulatin of prior years lack of support from the community.

UAB isn't going to be the only FBS school this happens too, they are just the first in the new era of college football.

Yeah, that is not what this is about.

I think those schools have their own Boards and don't fall under the same Board as UAB and and UAT, etc.

Plus, I don't think either of those boards have a son of Bear Bryant on them.
