Exclamation Games against Bowl Eligible Teams
I was looking at WKU's football schedule this afternoon and noticed something I thought was quite interesting. WKU finished 7-5 against 9 teams that finished Bowl eligible. Given our young defense this season, I find that quite remarkable. Also, given how well CUSA did against other G5 schools this season, it made me curious how other teams finished. I know you can't read much into this data, but it is interesting nonetheless.

School and Number of Games against Teams that finished Bowl Eligible and final record.
CUSA:
WKU - 9 (7-5)
La Tech - 9 (8-4)
USM - 9 (3-9)
MTSU - 8 (6-6)
ODU - 7 (6-6)
FIU - 7 (4-8)
FAU - 7 (3-9)
Marshall - 6 (11-1)
Rice - 6 (7-5)
UTEP - 6 (7-5)
UAB - 6 (6-6)
UTSA - 5 (4-8)
NT - 5 (4-8)

AAC:
Memphis - 5 (9-3)
Cincinnati - 5 (8-3) - Has one game remaining against 7-4 Houston
UCF - 5 (9-3)
ECU - 5 (8-4)

Sun Belt:
ArkSt - 7 (7-5)
ULL - 7 (8-4)
GaSo - 6 (9-3)
AppSt - 5 (7-5)

I'm always a nerd for numbers and stats. Here is the complete Sun Belt to add to your list, sorted by number of games against 6-6 or better teams then by record.

Sun Belt:
USA - 8 (6-6)
GAST - 8 (1-11)
IDAHO - 8 (1-11)
ULL - 7 (8-4)
ArkSt - 7 (7-5)
ULM - 7 (4-8)
TROY - 7 (3-9)
GASO - 6 (9-3)
TXST - 6 (7-5)
NMSU - 6 (2-10)
AppSt - 5 (7-5)

Good stuff Skully. Didn't intend to slight the other SBC teams. I only looked at the one's who finished near the top. USA's record is impressive given the schedule, especially given that ya'll are still a young program.
