Liberty 2015 FB schedule toughest yet; Sept. 26 vs. JMU will set record attendance
Will Liberty vs. JMU Sept. 26 break the single game attendance record? Safe money bet says yes. In previous years when the teams played, JMU bullied the Flames and won and attendance was good. In 2014 this changed. Flame fans can expect a large contingent of JMU fans for 2015. My prediction on attendance for that game: 20,000 from LU, 5,000 from JMU = 25,000 total, a new LU record. The better the records for both teams the more the game will be heightened. It will a tough 3 weeks for the Flames with Delaware State being the easier game for LU before the LU/JMU matchup.

My guess is 25,000. What's yours? JMU travels well. LU 2015 schedule.

Sep 5, 2015 TBA Delaware State Lynchburg, Va.
Sep 12, 2015 TBA vs. West Virginia Morgantown, W.Va.
Sep 19, 2015 TBA Montana Lynchburg, Va.
Sep 26, 2015 TBA James Madison Lynchburg, Va.
Oct 3, 2015 TBA vs. Georgia State Atlanta, Ga.
Oct 10, 2015 TBA vs. Gardner-Webb* Boiling Springs, N.C.
Oct 17, 2015 TBA vs. Monmouth* West Long Branch, N.J.
Oct 24, 2015 TBA Kennesaw State* Lynchburg, Va.
Nov 7, 2015 TBA Presbyterian* Lynchburg, Va.
Nov 14, 2015 TBA vs. Charleston Southern* Charleston, S.C.
Nov 21, 2015 TBA Coastal Carolina* Lynchburg, Va.

I'm as excited if not more so for Montana than JMU. Montana is an icon in FCS and we need payback at home.

I also am excited with Montana at home and WVA away. Montana travels well as some App State fans have told me when Montana played in Boone. The friendly competition with JMU, and who gets to FBS first, adds a little energy to that game.

I applaud the team admins for upgrading the schedule. If LU could consistently play 2 or 3 SBC, MAC, C-USA teams each year, along with strong FCS OOC games, that would be a move in the right direction. I would rather have a 8-4 team with some quality wins vs. 10-2 with Kentucky Wesleyan (2013), Brevard (2013) and Concord (2012). AD Barber has stated no more lower level games.

I'm saying 8-3 and another Big South Conference Championship and auto-bid to the playoffs.

It's too early to tell what will be wins and losses. I am most looking forward to the West Virginia game. Let's show them we should be the next addition to the Big 12! (/Sarcasm)

It is really important that we show that we are not just a flash in the pan. The Big South had a very good season this year in football and we could springboard this into becoming an upper echelon conference in FCS football if we continue multiple bids and playoff wins. We know too well that some schools get the benefit of the doubt for a playoff at-large bid based on their name instead of their season. Let's get the kind of reputation where others are surprised if we don't win a playoff game instead of surprised when we play a playoff game.

We need to have a good 2015 record to build credibility. A weak won/loss record will stimulate the naysayers. A credible record will build on the 2014 success. Making and advancing in the playoffs makes our more attractive.
