Hurricanes fall 24-21…. That sends Miami below .500 with a record of 6-7… Miami fans are really pushing for a coaching change now

We are 2-3 now with it looking like BC is going to OT against Penn St.

Today is a perfect reason why people can't take ACC football seriously. BC, Duke, and Miami all choke it up.

Gross this is why everyone thinks ACC football sucks. You beat up on each other in the conference and every single year we stink it up in the bowl season. Gahhhh. UNC gets blown out by Rutgers, Miami had bad coaching all game, Duke had a chance but won't be given credit and BC blew it. Sucks to be an ACC fan.

Bowl Record: 2-4
Vs Power 5- 0-4
Congrats to VT though!

Pitt, Clemson, GT and FSU still left to play so it seems a little early to be all doom and gloom.

If Louisville beats Georgia, Clemson beats Oklahoma, Georgia Tech beats Mississippi State and Florida State beats Oregon, nobody will care about the ACC's crappy football schools playing crappily in their bowls.

Golden and Shannon both now 28-22 after 4 seasons as head coach. Golden is now 8-11 in his last 19 games. Fortunately for him he still has 5 years left on his contract. He ain't goin' anywhere.

I'm convinced - Golden is not a very good coach.

How much of Temple was Golden, and how much was Adazzio?

Nebraska's making a game of it in the Holiday bowl. Down by 3 and they just got the ball back with 6 minutes left on the clock.

45-42

What? Adazzio was OC at UF when Golden "turned Temple around". Temple wasn't that special under Adazzio.

It was Temple being kicked out of the Big East and competing with MAC schools. Golden never even won the MAC, or his division.

What will be the biggest factor when Florida State meets Oregon at the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day? Who will win the duel between the two most recent Heisman winners, and which defense is better poised to stop the other team's offensive leader? Here's my extended look at the first semifinal of the College Football Playoff...

From the article:
Quote:FULL DISCLOSURE: I am a senior at the University of Oregon.
Quote:Think about what a team like Oregon would have done with the early interceptions Winston threw against Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship Game; those would have been touchdowns instead of field goals, and the game would have gotten out of hand quickly.
Quote:Final Prediction
Oregon 52, Florida State 35

This is probably what most folks outside of Tallahassee think - that Winston will throw several picks which will result in an early and insurmountable lead for Oregon. We'll see.

RE: Open Thread - Bowls
So "if" Winston doesn't throw early interceptions, and since your best defensive player and all-American cb is out with a torn acl, does Oregon still run away with the game?

RE: Open Thread - Bowls
Also, gt has the nation's best offense. If anybody is going to turn turnovers into points it would be them. Wait a second, early interceptions against gt? Gt kicked fg instead of touchdowns? (Something wasn't adding up so I looked up the box score...)

Wtf?

Winston didn't throw any interceptions against gt. Gt didn't attempt a fg against FSU.
