I would say both are solid B- to B shows but my wife really enjoyed the two different seasons (completely different story for each season even though some of the cast is the same). Easy / not overly scary Halloween season type shows that you would probably like if you enjoyed watching the movie The Ring.

I also watched the second season of the Boys and I really liked that take on the superhero genre. On to the next show now that we're on the fast track to another lockdown lol...any great shows out there you have recently watched?

I'm looking at watching...

Queen's Gambit - 8.8 on IMDB
Paranormal - 8.5 on IMDB
The Mandalorian - 8.7 on IMDB
Dark - 8.8 on IMDB

Queens Gambit was really good. Its short. Only 7 episodes. DARK is a must watch. might be the greatest show of all time

As most opinions about TV are subjective and individualistic by nature, I'll let it slide....but Senior, please don't go into watching Dark thinking it's a pantheon level TV show.

I'll add...the Mandalorian is a cool show from an effects standpoint, but up until about episode 3 of season 2 there is absolutely no overarching story, and it feels like the show is going absolutely nowhere telling small vignettes with absolutely no connection between them outside of the main character's shuffling and near silent presence.

I was pleasantly surprised with how good Cobra Kai was, and I thought Absentia was a very good show, but I've liked Stana Katic since her Castle days.

Not sure if we watched it on Netflix or Prime....Peanut Butter Falcon is a fabulous watch. Wife made me watch and I’m glad she did.

I still loved your suggestion of Last Kingdom. Bring on Season 5 already!

RE: Netflix Suggestions
I’m heading into the post hunting season long dark winter of Northern Michigan where the sun goes down at about 4:15 so it’s time to take a few test drives of series I missed or am rewatching.

Shameless....episode 1 was funny (and wrong) as hell. I’ll dive into it once the snow gets waist high.

The Crown...have not started it yet but I’m told I will love it by people who know my tastes.

I’m slowly rewatching Arrested Development. Friggin hysterical. Never gets old.

Godless is a one season gem.

Taboo....another awesome 1 season watch for anyone who thinks Tom Hardy is a badass.

Lilyhammer...can’t tell if I dig it or not but I keep coming back.

I may rewatch Boardwalk Empire this winter. I miss that series.

Of course I’m still working through season 5 of Peaky Blinders.

Shameless is absolutely raunchy as hell. I forget what all the first episode entailed but if you haven't hit it yet, hold on tight. Pretty much every episode involves some form of hilarious debauchery, but it's also one of those shows that didn't know when to end though and went on a bit too long.

I've watched most of these, watching the Crown right now to keep my wife happy. Check out the Queen's Gambit. Limited series so if you hate it, at least the end is in sight but I liked it. Hell on Wheels is worth a look.

If you liked Lilyhammer, Norsemen on netflix has a lot of the same actors. I've not seen Lilyhammer, but I've heard the humor is similar. Norsemen is basically a Viking themed version of the office. Good mindless entertainment.

I think it's her favorite show. I knew she'd like it but it's well beyond that

Bingo!

My wife has just about every Jamie/Sam product one can buy. Several years ago we did a trip to Scotland to visit some of the places referenced by Outlander. Two years ago my wife looked into buying a summer home for us in Scotland in some town where Outlander is based.

A year ago, I told Mark that Covid has nothing on OOD - Outlander Obsessive Disorder. He is probably starting to understand what I was talking about.

Last Chance U on Netflix is really good. It’s a series/documentary about Laney Junior College Football.

So you’re taking Mark’s suggestion to go all in on Russia to heart.

It’s brilliant. Steve Buscimi as Nikita Kruschev, Jeffery Tambor as Gregory Malenkov...for history wonks they use the real history of what went on in that period and made it funny as hell.

Dark humor is like food...not everyone gets it.
