As far as the BigTen ... yes, I agree with one exception, the BigTen is better off without UMass, UConn, BC, Syracuse, Buffalo and ... hmmm, lessee, what other FBS schools are there in the Northeast, Army, mebbe? Or is that far enough toward downstate New York to be Mid-Atlantic, instead?
The only FBS Northeastern school that would help the Big Ten would be Penn State, which is why the Big Ten added Penn State decades back. Once Penn State was already in the fold, the move to the mid-Atlantic made much more sense, as there are substantially better FB recruiting grounds available.
As far as the American, ACC and the MAC, none of those conferences have schools in the NCG, so that would be off topic. As well, clearly false, as the American is clearly better off with UConn to give them more credibility during BBall season, the ACC is clearly better off with its northern annex than it was previously, and the MAC is better off with Buffalo than without.
