She started screaming about killing the professor, killing white people and killing students.

I don't actually think that is correct. I believe it is incumbent upon the school to press charges in this instance. If that young man was your son I believe you would agree that the school should be protecting him. What if she had pulled out a weapon? That behavior can not be tolerated. I have a feeling that a deal was worked out between her,FAU and the Law Enforcement.... and her suspension was the end result.

The school did what it was required to do. It isn't their job to pursue charges on behalf of the students.
