http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/...-agreement

A source, on reports that the Miami deal was only worth in the mid-30-million range: "We laughed."

12 years, wouldn't surprise me if it exceeded $90 million. The Miami-Adidas deal has both sides thrilled.

These deals, if you don't know, have three elements: Cash to Miami, gear for Miami and then a sponsor leg. Cash and gear the biggest parts.

Pros: Bigge$t deal in Hurricane history, "multiple times" more than Nike deal.

Cons: Nike popularity, potential to complicate recruiting.

The bottom line is this: The deal is financially brilliant for Miami.

Oh yea? Well ... uh ... we got Russell. And uh ... they did honeycomb. And random shoulder stripes. And those weird fat to skinny leg stripe things. And uh ..... Ohio and Western Kentucky also use Russell. And Auburn and Mississippi State did too when we signed but .... uhh ... don't anymore. Uhmmm.......... Russell sponsors a bowl!

I remember when Russell was the best MFG of T Shirts and Jackets out there. Still a great product though but marketing isn't Their strong point these days. Loved GT uniforms this year though. The Navy ones were Killer !

I've always been a fan of Georgia Tech's navy uniforms. I wish we could see it more often, but I understand that GT has a tradition with wearing white uniforms at home.

The navy unis were below average. These are the best we've seen from Russell in the 10 years or so this contract has been active:
