Syracuse stepped up tonight with the whole nation watching and played their best game of the season. They just whipped one of the hottest teams in the country for their signature win. The Orange are certainly in at this moment after tonight and overall would seem to be in real good shape. As high as they are right now, they'd be well served to win one more time (any game) to avoid the Maloxx in two weeks, but probably get in with a 2 loss finish unless the upsets get crazy in conference tournaments and they got beat bad in the last 2.

I think its safe to say Cuse played there win in tonight by crushing G-town. I do agree that one more win would make it a little easier for the orange, but I think they sealed it tonight. One thing about the Big East is there will always be opportunities for signature wins.

I think the BE has 7 teams definitely in with WVU has a chance to get in. I expect 8 teams for the BE. Unfortunately it is not UCONN's team as we are so young. However, we should be better next year. BE tournament should be fun. NCAA should be another great tournament.

As a Cuse fan it didn't get much better than this:

Just about clinched a bid
Beating the team whose fans you despise (excepting the few Hoyas on this board)
Reignite the dormant Hoya/Cuse rivalry
Easy finish allowed all the seniors to leave with applause
Walk-On seniors got PT
Court Rush
And DOUG GOTTLIEB CAN KMA!

RPI in parenthesis

BIG EAST STANDINGS
12-3 / 22-6 Georgetown (17)
12-3 / 25-5 Pittsburgh (4)
11-4 / 20-8 Louisville (38)
10-5 / 22-6 Notre Dame (39)
10-5 / 21-8 Syracuse (47)
9-6 / 22-8 Marquette (28)

8-7 / 19-8 West Virginia (55)
8-7 / 16-12 DePaul (60)
7-7 / 18-9 Villanova (21)
7-7 / 17-10 Providence (71)
6-8 / 17-11 Connecticut (100)
6-9 / 15-14 St. John's (128)
-----------------------------
4-10 / 12-14 Seton Hall (137)
3-11 / 12-16 South Florida (176)
3-12 / 9-18 Rutgers (208)
1-13 / 10-18 Cincinnati (170)

I think we have 7 teams in and WVU needs to beat Cincinnati and win one in the BET to make it.

Slippery Rock is worthless to the committee, so I took out non D-1 wins. You aren't alone, 5 others lost a win including UofL. You have 20 for the school records but not to others who make important decisions.
