LU Fan, LU Grad, or Both?
Are most of us LU Graduates and fans or just fans? And are the Flames your #1 team or is their a "bigger" school that holds that position?

I graduated from LU online with a Masters. So I count myself as a former student. I made the pilgrimage from Ft. Eustis, VA several times to attend football games with my family. My kids painted their faces and hair and would go all out. We are BIG Flame fans. My kids want to attend LU for college.

I grew up a University of Louisville fan first. Since being an LU student, visiting the campus, and growing older, I have become a much stronger Liberty fan. If Liberty were to play UofL, I would cheer for Liberty. So, I guess that makes them #1 for me. I'm still a diehard Card though. But the Flame burns brighter!..... I know, super cheesey!

I'm a LU grad and fan. I don't care much for professional sports just college level. That doesn't mean I won't watch a NFL game. I'm just not going to care to watch it or make any effort to see it.

Fan only here. Born in Lynchburg and have known about LU since it's inception. Saw first football games at old City Stadium, their first venue. Never attended TRBC or LU or taken any classes. Just a sports fan that enjoys college athletics. See my earlier post about how we need to reach out to the sports fan who has no affiliation to the school. Graduated from App St and rooted for LU when we played last year.

Both and my #1 team for sure. 91 grad who remembers city stadium games as well. Great stories.

Grad and fan. I had season tickets to university of Kentucky football for several years and have followed them closely going to most sec stadiums. I didn't renew my tickets last year so I could use that money to attend homecoming and the app state game. I still follow UK, but my loyalty and heart is with liberty.

RE: LU Fan, LU Grad, or Both?
I didn't mention if LU is the only team I root for or not in my post. I only root for LU even though I was born and raised in Texas and even moved back to Austin, TX. After all of that I am still not a UT fan or any Texas team fan. I just never had or felt any real connection to a Texas team.

And I only have TXST in my profile to the left because I root for the State of Texas...LOL.

Liberty fan and grad.

Grew up a Penn State fan and moved them to #2 once I went to Liberty.

I know Liberty markets itself extremely well. I wonder what how the school sells support for LU and athletics to its online graduates like myself? It seems like there is an untapped potential for an extremely large and far reaching fan base.
