How is a board meeting subject not included anywhere in the minutes, not even in a note that a listed subject matter was moved to a closed session?

So when is this vision statement going to be buried somewhere obscure on the JMU website?

I am eating a late lunch at my desk. I awoke at 4am, logged three hours of work before arriving at work, blew the unprepared competition away...no harm killing a few minutes writing bull caca on the JMU athletic message board. Is what I wrote asinine, most certainly as is the path we as JMU fans have been on for years...the forced, years late vision will be the cherry on top of the banana split sundae.

Before I sign off for the day, I need know, we are in a good position, right?

You can rest easy tonight, Bourne himself officially says we are in a good position. Don't know if he's been brought up to speed about the recent legislative body of power in VA and what one delegate is doing to derail this good position we are in.

My sophomore year, my roommate got a spot at the front of the lot behind Ikenberry. He was so happy with his position that he refused to move his car for the rest of the semester. His great position didn't do him any good because he never used it.

Hey, I didn't say that I didn't enjoy it.

As one who probably has a reputation for "defending" the administration, I have it on good authority that the "Vision" will be disappointing to most of us here. As some have predicted, a lot of words without saying much. For some reason I genuinely expected more.

And it took damn near 20 months to come up with it.

We got a lot of little boys running things up there.

Obviously they didn't anticipate what's going on in Richmond right now regarding restrictions on student fees because I don't know how you could have a strategic plan with all of the uncertainty that is out there right now.

I think I speak for the masses when I say that this comes as no surprise.

I have zero faith in JMU's leadership (or lack thereof), particularly when it comes to athletics.

word on the street is that it is now early February with no specific date set.

I actually agree with PH here. If this heralded vision statement is more regurgitation than vision I will be sorely disappointed - and anybody that pays attention to me on here knows I'm as optimistic as they come - and the admin ought to be embarrassed. And if that's the case I think it has everything to do with club level tickets.

I'm still hopeful that it will be more (and being the optimist I probably have a broader definition than "more" than some). I would be happy with a statement that we are actively seeking membership in an FBS conference. I would be happy with a statement that we are building a new convo by 20xx. But if we get a "for the student athlete/to improve the student-athlete experience" generic statement, I will get used to the fact that we're staying FCS - which doesn't bother me as much as others, but I will be disappointed.

The convo will certainly be part of the vision. The more detail they have on that, the better.

Idea...take fan input form a survey on designing the convo. I think they did that for BFS. You can really make a great arena if you are not just following cookie cutter designs. Take elements of the best arenas and incorporate them all into the new convo.
