Rogen's words are being badly distorted here. That's not fair to him.

But, with that said, even his un-distorted words are not quite fair to Kyle's memory, either.

The movie was good. I read the book, saw interviews by Chris Kyle, I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but he was pretty much an open book.

I think SR is commenting on how the movie is not telling the whole story.

As someone who saw "Inglorious Basterds" and watched it again recently, he's not being misunderstood. He said it, he needs to own it.

The movie he refers to in "Inglorious Basterds" is about this guy that's a sniper in a bell tower that supposedly takes out over 100 Americans. He said it reminded him of that.. But that movie only focused on that entire saga and the "hero" of the movie played himself.

American Sniper focused on several events and the events of Chris Kyle's life. It also focused on his teammates.. And last time I checked, Clint Eastwood didn't work as a propaganda minister for our government. Seth Rogen tried to make a joke, thought several in Hollywood would side with him, but all he got was crickets. Now he's crawfishing. Same as Michael Moore.

When a SEAL dies serving their country or any SF, members of the community come and adorn their caskets with either SF patches or in the case of a SEAL, the trident pin.

A normal SEAL probably gets anywhere from 6 to 12. Chris Kyle had several dozen. The man was a hero, who knows how many American soldier lives he saved. As someone who works around soldiers every day, that's a huge task and weight on anyone's shoulders.

I watched one of MM's movies, a documentary. It was so bad I don't even remember the name of it. That, was the last time I spent any good money on fat MM's work. He's the kind of person that you wish you could smack in the mouth, if it wasn't a sin and a legal problem. I wouldn't touch him, I don't hate him, but I don't like him. He's a waste of humanity. And a coward that even if he wasn't a fat slob would never join the military to find out for himself that the military isn't a bed of roses. He hides behind his notoriety to slander the very people that keep him safe.

The part of the story where Kyle lost his mind and started claiming that he murdered people in the states, beat up people in bars, etc.etc.

I don't recall him claiming to murdering people in the states..

As far as the bar fight with Ventura, that's still up in the air. Ventura sued for defamination of character because he claimed the allegation cost him money in the future for appearances and made him a pariah in the SEAL community.

Why didn't he sue for libel?
