Ralph Friedgen not returning to Rutgers

Sounds like Ralph Friedgen is planning to enter retirement once again. Not a huge surprise given his age. Probably not a coincidence either that this news is coming out now after signing day has passed. Ben McDaniels (brother of Josh) is rumored to be in line for the OC job.

RE: Ralph Friedgen not returning to Rutgers
McDaniels has officially been named. Fridge will remain in an "advisory" role, whatever that means. I think it's the best Rutgers could do at this moment and creates some stability for an offense going on its sixth OC in as many years. It was fairly obvious from the beginning that McDaniels was being groomed for this position, with many suspecting the change to take place after the 2015 season.

The timing of this announcement was no mistake; after signing day but before spring practice.

The Rutgers athletics site is one of the few that has improved recently, in my opinion. Tom Luicci, longtime football beat writer for a local paper, is churning out some great articles there.

Another RU connection with the Pats. That makes a lot of sense. Belichick has been tight with Schiano and Flood for years. I'm actually a little surprised BB hasn't put GS on staff.

What a joke.
Kyle likes people who towers over.
The new OC belongs at a 1AA school.

Um, UConn's OC is a Seton Hall grad. Enough said. Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day.
