With all the rumors and discussion about ND joining in football, realistically after TCU and Baylor being left out of the playoffs this year without a conference championship game. If their were 5 undefeated schools at the end of the year and one of those was ND but the other 4 were in conference championship games do you honestly think ND would be in the playoffs?

ND will no ever be forced to join a conference........ACC is just dreaming on that one, it is not going to happen.

It is possible. ND could be a solid number 1 with a strong SOS. #5 could have a very weak SOS.
