Right. The clock has nothing to do with it.

I don't have any problem with 30 seconds, but as a cure for sloppy play, it probably makes things worse.

Bullet, my point is.. look at most American style basketball with the shorter shot clock, the teams are defined around one or two players and everyone else is just "on the floor" (IMO) {are there exceptions? yes}.

If you want to cut down on the clock length, then put some serious changes elsewhere (as already noted, the 3-point shot length, the trapezoid under the bucket, lose the "automatic-blocking foul circle".).
