Wake Forest added
I just saw where Chris Lang twitted out that Liberty will play at Wake Forest in 2018. I like playing Wake. It's a winnable against an ACC opponent.

That is a great game for LU. Close by and winnable. AppState used to play Wake often and the games were close and App won several of them when they were FCS. Rumor, which is likely true, is that Wake stopped playing App due to the losses.

I like this match up. I think Wake Forest is a very underrated member of the ACC and the conference cares about them much more than the public perceives. We played them before when Rocco was coach and I think we lost by (only) 20.

This is another ACC match up. We must be close to getting an ACC invitation since they have been busy scheduling us lately (UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, etc.) but the Big 12 has been trying to catch up lately with West Virginia and Baylor. They obviously must be fighting over us. Let me double check with my sources.

Actually, we played Wake in 2012 with Gill and only lost 20-17.

I hear that Alabama and Ohio State are fighting over who wants us the most. I'm for the ACC, only because it's closer and we can attend the games easier. Let's beat Wake bad enough that they have no choice.

I remember that game now. We blew a late lead and lost. I think it involved two interceptions on consecutive drives.

That was Gill's first game and I believe it was Rocco's first game where we kept it respectable several years before. This is indeed a nice guarantee game where our students and nearby alumni can make the easy drive to the Triad.

BB&T Field is a nice stadium too. I went there to watch my Orangemen win one of their few wins last fall. I will say, the Bill is a better environment. The crowd was just there. there wasn't a lot of Wake kids, and the band was rather boring. I'm sure that the lack of wins contributes greatly to the atmosphere. It was completely the opposite of the events that are Liberty football games.
