I now know what it's like to be a braves fan after winning 3 consecutive division titles....

man, the mets are en fuego right now....

and since I'm all-in being a NL fan....that's where my money goes regardless of the AL outcome....

Imagine being a Pirates fan. We win 98, but got our season killed on a whipeout slide by a backup Cubs of. We then get killed in a one game playoff by a hot team with a killer sp.
The hot team kills the Cards and then runs into a hotter team.... That the Pirates beat 6 straight times including arse lickings against Harvey and Snydergaard.

2nd wildcard sucks.

You haven't played this mets team. The first series was in May when we were a .500 ball club with Wright and D'arneaud out injured..before we brought up Conforto and Matz, before we traded for Cespedes, Uribe, Johnson, Clippard, Reed. You beat Harvey good in May when we had no run support. Syndergaard only gave up 1 ER in his game against you. The other May game was against Niese who isn't in our post season rotation. In August you only had 1 ER against Harvey. Your runs game against O'Flaherty, Torres, and Parnell, none of which are on the post season roster. You beat Colon and Niese in extra innings, neither of which are in the post season rotation. You haven't faced this mets team.

This team is hot, as were the Giants last year. They're also build for a series which make them look a little better, but the Bucs swept them in New York starting Happ, Morton and Locke.
The Pirates won 98 and would have had plenty for the Mets.

And you did it beating Parnell twice and Gilmartin once. Congrats. They aren't playing this time of year though.

RE: OT: 2015 MLB Season
The Cubs eliminated the Pirates in a one game Wild Card playoff. The Cubs swept the Mets 7-0 during the regular season. During the NLCS the Cubs went 0-4 (and never led at any point during any of the four games). No compelling argument can be made that supports the Pirates over the Mets this post season. The Mets have beaten several of the best pitchers in baseball this post season (not playing for the Mets), and have been hitting enough doubles and home runs to out score the opposition. I doubt the Pirates would have done any/much better than the Cubs or the Dodgers did. It is hard to defeat any team that has four starters that can throw 95+MPH fastballs well into the late innings and also have excellent secondary pitches to keep you off balance.
