If it doesn't apply, let it fly

What?
If you're not one of the crazy ones then don't listen to it lol. Know you're not and go about your day

OK, I'll leave you to your broad generalizations with nothing to back them up.
I dont think you understand the concept...

You're actually right because you won't just say what you think. I can't tell if you're trolling, trying to make a point, trying to provide any basis for your point or whatever you're trying to do.

To add some fuel to this long-dead fire...maybe the delay is that the Big Ten is having trouble solidifying school #16.

I have no idea which single school that would be (Missouri, oddly enough, is probably the most desirable school NOT protected by a GOR)...but that's a theory.

For the umpteenth time, Missouri is under a GOR, just not with the SEC, but with ESPN for the SECN.

If a compelling #15 is available, why wouldn't a passable #16 be available? A compelling #15 would either available from the ACC or Big12, and if one school is available from one of those, there would be one or more passable #16's in either.

The most plausible reason for the delay is that there is no delay, because despite the fervant wishes of those with conference realignment fever, there actually won't be any attractive moves for the Big Ten to consider until the Big12 and/or ACC GOR start to come closer to their expiration date(s).

You're correct. I meant in a few months.

A few weeks? Please read your own post from back in the day.

What you are quoting is Mr. Gray again predicting in September 2014 that the invitation which did not materialize in June 2014, would be by spring/summer of 2015.

As can see, something is holding up the invitation if amr. Gray is to be believed.

I see U.Conn not going anywhere. They are stuck. Their fans don't even support their football team. I saw a bunch of empty seats for U. Conn fans in the bowl game against Oklahoma. U. Conn needs to work on getting people to watch the games.

I see a lot of empty seats in that photo. Like I said, they do not support their team, and never sold all their alloted tickets for the game.

UConn has basketball, sizable market & academics. I could see them & Kansas going to the B1G or if BC or Syracuse leave the ACC then they have a good shot here. Right now the ACC isn't looking north.

They need to increase their fan support for their football team first & foremost to make a move. Kentucky give their football team more support than does UCONN. I remember numerous times when UK would have 2-4 wins a season & their stadium was still full, UCONN needs to do the same.

Kentucky is playing Alabama and LSU not Tulane and Tulsa.

Didn't ESPN support UCONN over Louisville?

I have no idea. Taking Louisville denied them to the big 12 though. Yes, the big 12 passed (foolishly) previously on Louisville but if Louisville wasn't in the ACC right now then I am pretty damn sure they would be a unanimous vote to get into the big 12 currently.

So, strategically, ESPN would have known that UConn wasn't going anywhere. Louisville on the other hand, is another Elite basketball brand that ESPN wanted in their basketball conference of choice.

Doesn't matter, they're in. UCONN is the one that needs to make statement. Can't look at it its just Tulane & Tulsa, you have to look at it like it's your shot to play Ohio St or FSU every season. Sell out now for the future.
