If I was a betting man, I would say LU will wait 1, 2 or 3 years max, likely 2 years, before pursuing the indy route. So if that was true, the college prez have 12 to 36 months to invite before Liberty really makes some news in the sports arena.

With the NCAA turning a blind eye towards those FBS teams that don't meet the minimum standards of attendance, and with LUs stated FCOA position, it's getting harder and harder to deny LU membership, with or without an invite.
