UC and UCLA home-and-home
UC Bearcats to play football series with UCLA

So much for UC's demotion having a big effect on scheduling. UC now has future home-and-home series with Nebraska, UCLA, Boise, BYU, and Indiana. In addition, we are in the middle of home-and-home series with Miami (FL) and Purdue.

UCLA clearly isn't afraid to play road games against MWC & AAC schools. They have future road games scheduled at UNLV (2015), BYU (2016), Memphis (2017), and SDSU (2020). And it's not because they can't get P5 schools - they have future home games against Oklahoma, Virginia, Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, and Rutgers.

Did not know that Boise was recognized and a Power School. 07-coffee3

The rest look promising though. 04-cheers

UCLA doesn't schedule FCS opponents. The Bruins actually prefer to have fun and competitive schedules - rather than trying to game the system with overly-easy wins and 7 or 8 home games. Kudos to them.

Boise bring lots of eyeballs so they're fairly difficult to schedule. Not counting series that they're in the middle of (UConn, Washington, UL-Lafayette), Boise's future home-and-home series are: Virginia, Washington State, Oregon State, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Troy, Cincinnati, and BYU (x4).

I'm happy to be on that list of schools getting a visit from the Broncos.

You're just padding your schedule. Nice to get a nationally recognized Fluff game. 04-cheers

I'm pretty sure Rutgers signed the UCLA deal prior to getting the BIG invite. We signed several contracts to play P5 schools while TP was still the AD (PSU & daU come to mind). This was during the time frame when he gave the "We will be in the BIG shortly" talk at a private donor function. I'm not saying that signing series to play P5 schools means UC is going to get a call-up. I'm just saying that seemed to happen for us.

Yeah same here. I heard this rumor a few months back. Sometimes it takes a while to get the paperwork done.

Are you sure your AD isn't confused and that "UC" on UCLA's schedule is actually the school in Berkeley?04-cheers

I would take that. Easy P5 win and easy road trip for UC fans. (Pitt will probably bring the usual 16 fans).

UCLA, USC, Notre Dame --- the only 3 FBS schools who have never scheduled a FCS.

Good for them.

(until recently, Washington was also part of this group)
