He will come back and some mod will get out of line, again, and push knowing Torch wont take their **** and the fckwad mod will "decide" what he set out to "decide".

Yep.

Someone wont take your chit and calls you out... not a problem. Out of sight, out of mind.

Except when any of us are gone, we're still in your minds. Must really be a pickle. 03-lmfao

I don't know about the other "issues", but I know his posts were among the most logical I've seen on this board.

RE: Is This Thing On?
The finality indeed rests with Torch. I can understand objecting to a mod's decision. But you don't get anywhere with that acting like an angsty teen who just got dumped on prom night.

And Torch is the only person I've banned myself in quite some time. I gave him 72 hours off to, quite literally, cool off. He came back and did more of the same, and got an level of magnitude longer ban.

The variety and quality of discussion on the main board is the best it has been in a considerable amount of time. New posters are trickling in, and old posters turned off by the low quality previously are coming back. I would need to be pretty convinced that that wouldn't go to sh*t again to make any changes. And the resident mods would need to be in near unanimous agreement with any changes.

I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement. Let's find out: http://csnbbs.com/thread-736521.html

I said from the jump that while the liberals on this board would champion the change initially because they are so damn thin skinned ... they would eventually run afoul of the very same rules they championed. And they have. What do you call it when the most polarizing people on the left and the right are both unhappy? Probably a good solution.

Well in our defense none of us were expecting the implementation to be so bad. As I said before I don't take issues with the rules themselves just the way that they are unfairly interpreted.

Most of the Libs are a little bit more reasonable, whereas the hardcore cons would have hated ANYTHING you would have proposed. So I strongly disagree that both sides being hostile to this is in any way representative that the system works.

50% Say better. 21% Say worse. The rest (29%) say it has been the same.

That's clear-cut. Sorry.

RE: Is This Thing On?
Same or worse, 50%. That's "clearly" half that see changes that accomplished no improvement. Rivals Obamas approval numbers.

I'll let gts take a stab at it himself but we can put you down as unable to interpret polls.
