News is breaking that safety Gary Sampson and full back Nicky Fualaau have both been dismissed from the football team. Sampson is a huge loss. He's the only returning safety with any experience. He was also second on the team in tackles. Going to Morgantown the second game of the season with a safety that will only have one start at that point is not a good thing.

Sampson was arrested for weed. Apparently he had enough that he was charged with intent to distribute. I've never smoked it, but weed must be some really good stuff to jeopardize so much for it.

Just proves my point, that even tho this is a christian school, everyone is still human and has or makes mistakes. When I have been around this kid(he was my kids dormy, as frosh) he was been nothing but respectful and likeable. I hope he gets things back on track.

Kids being selfish. Whatever your stance may be on marijuana it is not allowed on campus and it is illegal in Virginia. I hope they get some help and this doesn't provide a distraction for the team.

Big loss. Boo to that. Hurts the team, hurts the individual, hurts the LU rep. But you are right, we live in a fallen world and all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Hopefully he pulls his act together.
