Rank the Stadiums for 2015
ODU has to be the worst in the conference... I really like UNCC's stadium.

RE: Rank the Stadiums for 2015
Charlotte's stadium could be one of the nicest once it is fully expanded and polished up. Foreman is pretty spartan as far as FBS facilities go (Ainslie complex is the only thing nice about it, really) and it deserves to be at the bottom of the list. Gotta shoot for #1 with the new stadium. Just gotta.

I love the Joan, and against any decent opponent, around 30k shows up and it is very loud, and a great gameday environment, with tailgating everywhere in campus, and more importantly, very welcoming and hospitable host fans, that most, if not all, would tell you are among the nicest they have ever met.
I will probably make the trip to Bowling Green this year and check out WKUs stadium, and Ill also make it to Charlotte, and ODU next year so we will see.
But WKU guy, you can't seriously talk smack when your stadium is a ghost town and you currently have the best QB you'll ever have there. Not talking about tickets sold, stadium looked and sounded terrible on TV.
Let me explain something to you Marshall list PAID attendance just like everyone else.
24000 out of 38000 is 63% full
19000 out of 23000 is 82% full
I've not watched many Marshall home games but a stadium that's 37% empty and that's with "listed" attendance looks just as bad as anyone else.
But none of that matters in how your stadium actually looks...
like a dummpy depressing prison
You know you hit a nerve when fans start putting you on "their list" and giving you negative points for telling the truth about something...especially one with a -10 LOL keep them up LOL it still wont change the fact your stadium looks like a dump not only that but a depression prison dump. Not only that it just reenforces how as a fanbase some of you are big ole cry babies
Just shut the hell up. Renovations are coming soon. The bathrooms are yea crap and all the concrete walls could have design wrap, but it's not a dump. The press box is beautiful and better then yours. The concourse could be a little wider but there ok. Very small changes and it's the best in Conference USA. The endz one with the grass looks great and the other one has a building with trees beside it. The Joan is the best damn stadium I've ever been too. I love it to death.

Ha...western being themselves again. LOL
I have been to most of the stadiums. My favorite is probably UTEP. Just a unique setting.
Surprised by La Tech being so high. Wasn't real impressed and would put them in the lower half.
At Middle Tennessee, we don't really have much to look at as far as aesthetics go. It's actually difficult to see the outside of the stadium between the Murphy Center and alumni gym on the west side and baseball field on the east side. You can only see the upper deck of the north end zone due to the weight room and clubhouse and then the south endzone is the end with only a lower deck enclosure with the scoreboard.
Inside is just average too, so I would also rank us pretty low.

RE: Rank the Stadiums for 2015
In my time covering sports I have been in a lot of stadiums. While I agree to some of what WKUYG said about Marshall's stadium. Herd fans as well as most of the conference have it right that their press box is better then WKU's. FIU is an exception as they are the worst I have seen.
Now I realize WKUYG came off strong with his comments about Marshall's stadium. But go ask any recruit about the facilities at LT Smith. More then one recruit has said they were better then a lot of the SEC schools. Despite a lower capacity. The stadium does retain noise well and it can get very very loud.
To the Herd fan that put Bowling Green on par or lower then Toledo or other Rust Belt cities. Clearly you have either a) never been here....or b) you escaped whatever mental institution was housing you and found your way to a message board.
Hope some of you Marshall fans make your way to BG for the game this year. The WKU campus really is one of the most beautiful college campuses you will see.

Is FIU still placing the press under those open air tarps?

From the view of this ODU Fan:
Best stadium in CUSA (large cpacity): Sun Bowl, UTEP
Close Second: Apogee, UNT
Best Stadium in CUSA (small capacity): UNCC
Ours is a world war era dump that we are probably going to replace with a state of the art 30~35 K stadium.

RE: Rank the Stadiums for 2015
Let's get something straight - the beauty of the environment surrounding the stadium, the beauty of the town, weather, the attendance, or even the team's success should not enter the discussion of who's got the best stadium.
Since I have only been to FAU's and FIU's stadium, I can only rank those: 1. FAU, 2. FIU.

Give me an on-campus facility with a canvas press box and I'd be thrilled.

How many home games did FIU play in rainy or otherwise press-inconvenient conditions last season?

It's South Florida man. It could rain at 7:03, sunshine at 7:05, partially cloudy at 7:07, local thunderstorms at 7:10. Followed by a 50 minute lightning strike break.

I agree with this. The Sun Bowl also comes with bowl cred.
#1.) Sun Bowl
#2) Apogee
#3) Alamo Dome
#4) LT Smith Stadium
#5) Charlotte
#6) The Rock
#7) FAU Stadium
#8) Floyd Stadium
#9) Edwards Stadium
#10) Rice Stadium
#11) FIU Stadium
#12) Joe Aillet Stadium
#13) Legion
#14) Foreman
Factoring in age and wear, as well as design. When the big boys wont play in your stadium, that's a sign that its time to rebuild. I'm really looking forward to seeing what ODU comes up with.

ODU definitely is in desperate need of an upgrade and it's coming. But your reasoning for placing us last sucks since NC State is playing at Foreman this season. Wake and VT are coming to town as well. I would rate us last but leave out the opposition angle. It just doesn't fit with reality.

In all seriousness, FIU's tent press areas are a means to an end. They'll have wealthy alums soon enough, they'll gift money for dedicated press boxes, and we'll all go back to ragging on FAU for not being good enough.
